Who we are

Vampo is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and through the calls, emails and text messages we exchange with you.

This policy covers vampo.al and the calls and text messages we exchange with people who talk to us about our work. Products operated by Vampo or its subsidiaries on their own domains publish their own policies, and this one does not apply to them.

What we do not collect

• We set no cookies of any kind, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss.
• We run no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising tags.
• We do not fingerprint your device or track you across other sites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, including mobile numbers, with anyone for marketing.
• There is no account to create and no newsletter to sign up for.

What is processed when you visit

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Our host receives your request in order to serve the page, which includes your IP address, and may log it under its own policy and for its own retention period. Our host operates in the United States, so requests are processed there. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating the site. See GitHub's privacy statement.

If you email us

We process what you send us in order to read it and reply, on the same basis, and keep it for as long as the matter is live.

Calls and text messages

If we speak by phone and you agree to keep the conversation going by text, we may send you SMS or MMS messages about that call and what you agreed to receive on it, such as a follow-up to the call, a meeting link, a link or demo for a product we discussed, or an answer to something you asked. Before we take that agreement, we tell you on the call who we are, what we will send, roughly how often, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP at any time to stop the messages. Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us, and we say so on the call. Whatever else it contains, the first message you receive always identifies us and tells you how to stop the messages.

We text only people who have given us that permission, and we keep a dated record of when and how it was given. We retain that record for as long as we may text you, and we can produce it to our messaging provider or your mobile carrier on request. However we came by your number, the only consent we act on is the consent you give us yourself: verbally on a call, or by accepting the consent terms published for the campaign you are responding to, which include your agreement to this policy. Those terms govern where they apply. This policy supplements them on points they do not cover and does not override them.

Mobile numbers are never shared. Mobile numbers and consent to be texted are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and no part of that information is shared with anyone for those purposes. We use your number only for the purposes described in this policy and in the terms you agreed to when you gave your consent, and for no other purpose. The only parties that handle your number are the messaging provider that transmits our messages for us and your own mobile carrier, and neither may use it for their own marketing.

Message frequency varies with the conversation and with how often you reply. Typically, that is 1 to 10 messages per conversation.

Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop the messages at any time, by any reasonable means. Replying STOP to any message will do it, and so will emailing contact@vampo.al or telling us on a call. We do not require you to use one particular method, and we act on a request within ten business days of receiving it and normally far sooner. Reply HELP to any message for help. After you opt out, we keep your number only so that we can keep honoring the opt-out.

Who else sees your data

Our host, our email provider, and the messaging provider that delivers our text messages. No one else, except where we are legally required to disclose. We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not share mobile numbers at all.

Your rights

To ask what personal data of yours we hold, or to have it corrected or deleted, email contact@vampo.al. You may also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner at idp.al.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and move the date at the top.
